Donation of proceeds of 2018 Surfboard Raffle

Each year the proceeds from the Wrecks & Relics raffle is donated to a worthy individual or group.  This year (2018) The Noosa Malibu Club are proud to contribute to a fund that has been set up to support Sue Stanley and her family.  Sue has spent the past 26 years of her life committed to achieving great things for people with disabilities in sport. She is Mum to Clinton Stanley, World Down Syndrome Swimming Champion and local hero. So committed was Sue that her tireless community volunteer work and endless fundraising was recognised when she was awarded the Sunshine Coast Inspiring Women’s Award. Recently her husband Chris and dad to Clinton, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s which means the family can no longer stay in their beloved family home with both Clinton and Chris needing care.  Sue has had to make some choices which will see their home being sold and a more suitable home built in residential care where they can all be taken care of the way they need.

Club President, Craig Johnson and Paul Winter of Fuyu Surfboards present Sue Stanley with the proceeds of the 2018 Surfboard Raffle.
